Training

The method we use and teach is Natural Horsemanship and Clicker Training, N H sometimes called Horse Whispering, Clicker training focuses on rewarding the horse’s positive behavior. From working with and learning from a great many natural horsemanship masters, and practicing N H and C T in the training of horses for many years, I have honed a training philosophy that is simple: horse handling and riding should be safe and enjoyable, and horse training should be gentle, but effective. Clicker trainers treat their horses like beloved students. They are patient, kind and gentle teachers who set their horses up for success. Learning from all the great N H trainers has created in my training repertoire a large, effective collection of Natural Horsemanship training techniques to refer to in helping horse owners solve any horse problem. Clicker trainers break up new behaviors into smaller chunks or steps. Each successfully completed step gives the horse confidence to move to the next one. Horse and trainer avoid becoming overwhelmed which leads to frustration and disappointment. Changing one’s focus from the negative to the positive can certainly be a life-changing event.

We customize each training session to your horses needs; we recognize that one training method does not fit all. We want you to leave here with that partner you have dreamed of owning and riding off into the sunset with. It is about teaching your horse the right answers to the request. There are no bad horses, they have just not be taught the correct answers and may be confused. We look at what steps may have been missed in previous training and that it is not the horses fault. We believe everything evolves from the ground up and just as a child learns to crawl our equine partners learn to take baby steps through their training process.

Fine Tuning, Tweaking or retraining is $600.00 for 30 days, this also includes 2 lessons a week on your horse. Extra lessons are available for $20.00 per.

In the first 30 days the horses gets 5 days of intenese ground work and Five days of training per week. All horses are trained with Natural Horsemanship, Resistance Free Training Techniques.

Monthly Boarding is $350.00 (included in training fee). See Full Board Amenities.

Owner to provide current shots, worming, shoeing and dental work if necessary for proper care and training prior to horse being accepted at facility.

2 follow up lessons are included in the training fee at your home. Travel within 1 hour of Augusta. Additional lessons can be purchased.
